چکیده
Landslides are a major threat for population and urban areas. Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) is powerful tool identifying landslides monitoring their evolution over long periods has proven to be very useful especially in areas, where sufficient number of PS can generated. In this study, we applied interferometry investigate the landslide affecting Santo Stefano d’Aveto (Liguria, NW Italy) by integrating classic interferometric techniques with cross-correlation analysis time-series geological geotechnical field information. We used open-source software packages process Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images from Copernicus Sentinel-1A satellite both ascending descending orbits period 2015–2021 calculate vertical motion E-W horizontal displacement. By computing time-series, identified three families similarity greater than 0.70. The allowed subdividing different sectors, each which characterized specific type movement. meaning subdivision still matter discussion but it presumably driven geomorphological setting area regional tectonics.

Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) Technique for Landslide Characterization and Monitoring
The measurement of landslide superficial displacement often represents the most effective method for defining its behavior, allowing one to observe the relationship with triggering factors and to assess the effectiveness of the mitigation measures. Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) represents a powerful tool to measure landslide displacement, as it offers a synoptic view that can be rep...
متن کاملLandslide Activity Maps Generation by Means of Persistent Scatterer Interferometry
In this paper a methodology is proposed to elaborate landslide activity maps through the use of PS (Persistent Scatterer) data. This is illustrated through the case study of Tramuntana Range in the island of Majorca (Spain), where ALOS (Advanced Land Observing Satellite) images have been processed through a Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) technique during the period of 2007–2010. The ...
متن کاملBuilding Deformation Assessment by Means of Persistent Scatterer Interferometry Analysis on a Landslide-Affected Area: The Volterra (Italy) Case Study
In recent years, space-borne InSAR (interferometric synthetic aperture radar) techniques have shown their capabilities to provide precise measurements of Earth surface displacements for monitoring natural processes. Landslides threaten human lives and structures, especially in urbanized areas, where the density of elements at risk sensitive to ground movements is high. The methodology described...
متن کاملAn Approach to Persistent Scatterer Interferometry
This paper describes a new approach to Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) data processing and analysis, which is implemented in the PSI chain of the Geomatics (PSIG) Division of CTTC. This approach includes three main processing blocks. In the first one, a set of correctly unwrapped and temporally ordered phases are derived, which are computed on Persistent Scatterers (PSs) that cover ho...
متن کاملApplication of Persistent Scatterer Interferometry for Land Subsidence Monitoring in Sydney, Australia using ENVISAT ASAR Data
The aim of this research is to investigate the terrain deformation in the metropolitan area of Sydney using multiple satellite radar imagery. The persistent scatterer interferometry (PSI) strategy developed at Geodesy and Earth Observing Systems Group (GEOS) of the University of New South Wales (UNSW) is used to map the land deformation in Sydney with C-band ENVISAT radar images in this study. ...
